Here’s everything you need to know about what we use and why.
OUR MATERIALS
Seven Materials, One Workshop
Every material we stock is chosen for its engraving properties and durability.
Not sure which is right for your project? We’re always happy to advise.

Engraving Laminate
Often called Traffolyte or Traff, engraving laminate is a high-pressure 3-ply material with a resilient melamine surface. Highly durable, low maintenance, and available in a wide range of colour combinations. The workhorse of the engraving world.

Brass
The timeless choice for commemorative and memorial engraving. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc — warm, weighty, and unmistakably traditional. Suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor use. Develops a beautiful natural patina over time. Occasional polishing restores its original lustre.
